HI,

Your bulb type is

1993 NISSAN Maxima
High & low beam headlamp
9004

You have two choices for the H4/9003 (H4=9003) (hi/lo and bi-xenon)
hi/lo means your low beam is HID and high beam is Halogen because this bulb type has two bulbs in one bulb base to go from low to high beam.
And the bi-xenon means both your low and high beams will be HID.

Here is the link to your H4/9003 hi/lo 6000K ($60 after coupon code from first page of the thread or on the signature)
http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversi...rsion+Kit.html

Here is the link to your H4/9003 bi-xenon 6000K ($90 after coupon code from first page of the thread or on the signature)
http://www.hidextra.com/HID+Conversi...rsion+Kit.html

Thanks~

I think there's something wrong with my kit.
When I first turn on the lights, they both flash bright for less than a second (like there's an in-rush current) and then dim. Then they slowly get brighter over a minute or two.

Sometimes, one light would go out and I would have to turn off my headlights and turn them back on. The light that goes out alternates; sometimes it's the left one and sometimes it's the right one. Turning the lights off and then back on usually fixes it after a couple of tries. Eventually they both stay on.

Has anyone else run into this issue or have any idea what is causing it?

I have had the kit since early August.

The bright flash, then the dimming, then the gradual increase in brightness is normal from what I understand. My kit does the same thing. It takes my kit about 30 sec. or so to get to full brightness.

I also had one light or the other turning off at times, especially if I flicked my high beams on or off. Did some research and although the kits work without a relay, many suggest that it is best to get a relay to provide steady power to the balast. This way your stock harness just tells the relay to turn on and draw power directly from the battery.

Since adding the relay (bought it here from Hidextra...good price and shipping was included) no problems at all.

Hope this helps

ps alot of hid info can be found at this site:

Hi,

ALL HIds are like that, it requires 2-3 minutes for the temperature to warm up to the correct color and brightness.

But, if one or the sides go off, it might be that the connection is not plug in tightly or that the wire harness is defective, for this issue, please call our tech at 860-821-8212 first and he will diagnose the problem for you send us back anything for exchange.

Sorry for the trouble and thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

Your bulb type is

2005 NISSAN Maxima (With halogen capsule headlamps)
Low beam headlamp
9012

High beam headlamp
9012

Fogs
H3

We don't have bulb type 9012, but we do have 9006 which is very similar and can be altered to fit 9012, there is one tab on 9006 that is just longer and needs to be filed down to fit 9012, other than that, you have H3 as an option to convert your fogs to HID.

Thanks~

Wow I'm so glad I came back onto the ORG just for ****s and Giggles. I'll probably be ordering a set of HIDS for my WRX from you in about a week or so. I had 6k HIDs in my Maxima and really miss the look.

Yeah so far no complaints with my kit. Slight flicker when I turn them on the first time, but it doesn't happen anytime after that. Had it installed for over a month now. Very good service. So much better than DDM Tuning.

Im thinking of ordering a kit for my fogs n ive neva done this conversion before. My question is the clips that hold in the h3 bulbs in the foglights, r those used to hold the hid bulb in the housing or does another part come with the hid kit?

HI,

Our record shows no fog lights for your car, probably because it was an option when you first purchased your car or either you added it custom afterwards.

So if you custom housing uses H3, ours will definitely fit. let me know what color and i can get you the link to the H3 conversion kit. Thanks~

HI,

I'm sure it will work, but that will void your warranty on the bulbs since we cannot confirm if the bulb burns out, if the ballast cause the problem or it was defective from the start, since a bad ballast can send too much power to the bulb and burn it. Thanks~

Your bulb type is 9003=H4, what color would you like?
Thanks~
