I'm really interested in these, but im worried about installation,..

do you have a PDF installation guide you can send me so i can look it over before I buy,..

Is it something I can do in the driveway with normal tools?,... for what its worth,.. I just replaced my sway bar bushings and endlinks,.. is it on the same level as that or no?

thanks--mark

Finally went to install the collars, however the front set that is supposed to be installed over the lower control arm is a *****, the 19mm bolt over the arm is impossible to remove on my car, so I was only able to do the read set, any tips or ideas on how to get it off?

Just picked up a set off of speedymax99.

Install took less than an hour with a 1/2 drive ratchet, 19mm socket, and a breaker bar.

Very simple to install, and well worth the purchase. The collars really do eliminate the front-end "sloppyness". The car feels more solid over bumps and turns in the front end. I am on the 2001 stock SE suspension though, but the difference is definitely there!

I just went over this mod with my mechanic while the car was up on the lift diagnosing the ball-joints. (Yep, one is loose.) Anyway, replacing the ball-joints dovetails nicely into having these collars installed, and he gave me thumbs up on the mod.

So I came here to look into ordering the collars, when I saw the speedymax99 reference.

What's going on? Who do I order them from, please?

Get them from the GB through Carnal.

I just had extra that didn't use for my car.

my only concern is the "increased cabin noise" our cabin isnt the quietest to start with the sunroof and window issues...does the benefit truly outweigh the cons?
in theory it makes sense how the product would work.

I don't notice any difference at all in noise. With tire and sc/exhaust noise, these collars won't make it any louder.

I haven't noticed at all in a stock I30, stock tires, stock wheels, and no noticeable noise difference.

So try out a set and spread the word! Really, after driving with them, you'll realize every single maxima needs these! Modded or not.

Subframe collars were installed today; (along with LCA bushings from ES, and new ball joints from Moog.) The front end is amazingly solid. And travel over bumps in the road now go "thud" instead of "clunk".

Solid, stiff front end. Softer rebound. Exactly as advertised. I am very content right now.

Well done, carnal_c30. Thank you.
