I bought the 4th gen kit a few months ago and installed it, it was ok. Everything was ok except the nuts for the sway bar links. I don't know what it was, but whenever I would go to torque them down, they would strip! I had to borrow a car and run to Partsource and find a couple nuts that matched. That was a pain, but it can be fixed by tossing a few higher quality nuts in the package.

One little thing that I thought was a little comical was that the control arms and outer tie rods came with crown nuts, but there are no holes in the bolts to lock them down with a locking pin! I'm not sure how big of a deal it is, but it made me laugh a little.

I would defnitely try to install the ES bushings next time though.

This thread sent me here http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-thread-9.html

I see on the first page the 5th gen kit is listed $140 but on the website I find its listed as $225.

Also on the first page is a report of a 5th gen with the 6th gen front calipers saying the control arms DID NOT cause issues with rubbing. Wanting to confirm this before I decide to pick up the kit. Shipped to 98008.

Thanks!

I called them about the 5th Gen control arms and they said they could do it for me for the same $140 shipped. The guy that used to post on the forum for us isnt with the company anymore. The guy I spoke with still honored the price though i spoke with Dan. Seems cool, but he usually deals with German cars so just dont expect him to be able to answer Maxima questions per say if you have questions about the parts in detail.

Question to anyone that bought these. The guys said he believes the kit is complete, but in the listing it says 8 pieces. Did the Bushings come with it?

Not sure if I should spend extra on the higher quality stuff

Ok I almost ordered every thing on her last night it was at FCP. But when I priced the parts separate it was around 88 to 100. Im going to guess the pieces I chose were some of the cheaper ones than whats in the kit? Is that correct?

This kit confuses me. Right on the website, it says the MSRP for all the parts is $156, but they are selling it for $224.

Basic economics tells me something is off here...

Hi guys,

My name is Dan from FCP Import, I'm sorry we haven't been too active on this forum for a little while now. I am actually looking for a little feedback, we want to put together some group buys for you, what would people be interested in? We already offer great savings on our control arm kits, what else is commonly needed?

Anything reasonable I can get a volume rate from my vendors, if enough interest from all of you, I am happy to put together. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, I look forward to hearing!

Thanks!

Dan

Do you still offer the 5th gen kit, including LCA'S, ball joints and tie rods for $140 shipped?
If so, was that for inner and outer tie rods?
And how much extra to ship to postal code L4N 7J2 in Canada?
If we can work something reasonable out, I will be ready to sen payment next Friday.

Thanks,
Brolan
