I made an order today for my 04.But now im concern because i didnt check for the bulb size before i made the order like your post states.I went to your website and picked the make, year, bulb color and picked 6k for high and low beam.Im lill confused since it asks for low and high beam being that the car only uses one 9012 bulb for high and low beams.

I think you need the bi-xenon kit. call them tonight or tomorrow and explain to them what you need.

I don't think the bi-xenon kit is available for those of us with the 9012 bulb. I asked in another thread, but didn't get an answer. We have to modify a 9006 bulb if we want HID, and the 9006 bulb ( I believe ) is only available in the high/low format where we won't have HID on highbeam. I would be very happy to be wrong here as I want bi-xenon, but this is how I understand things to be right now.

I spoke to hidextra and they said the kit will work all i had to do was bend a tab on the bulb to make it fit. They are sending me a 9006 bulb which according to them is the same thing as the 9012 but with that extra tab.Has anyone done this before?any pics on what you have done to make this fit? Also they said i should be able to fit the high and low beam bulbs in the same assembly.Does this sound right?

The 6th gen has a reflector that moves for the high beam, so you do have HID for both, because it's the same bulb! And it does take some modification...

How to:

I had hidextra sent me this link on the install:

http://shnu.us/HIR%20Trimming%20Stock.htm

Im still confused about the high beam being an hid bulb also.
And how i will fit both bulbs in the headlight assembly.

That link is general and not 6th gen specific. See my link and post above, there is no high beam bulb!

Very satisfied with the kit so far, installed it on Sunday .. I think I need to re-aim the headlights a bit so that it throws more light on the road than on the signboards .. for now, the signboards lighting is a blast .. just awesome ... Got the 5k ones which are a tad more bluish that I expected... but perfectly OEM look that my G35 friend has ...
