Yeah the GD is still on, everyone e-mail him and figure out your payment options, the quicker we get this done, the quicker we get these springs.

I just talked to Borgioli74@aol.com via e-mail and he said only 5 people have contacted him and are in for sure. I gave him my information and he said I was #6. We need 10 people to get these springs for $85.

I don't want to step on any toes (sorry WizzaMax if this is wrong, I don't know what the procedure is ), but I think if you want in you should send him an e-mail ASAP. He has been very responsive today so you should get a response very soon.

Lets do this!!!

Mine was 24.50 to Chicago. I am guessing the box weighs a lot and that is why it is so much. I also think he may be out of Cali.

I have been out of contact for a few days but want to make sure everyone understands...the Group Deal is for members who express explicit desire to purchase the MaxSpeed springs from the original offer date and time until 03-15-2002 03:50 PM when the Group Deal was officially closed. Any members who did not respond in the time allotted however short must consider themselves excluded or contact the seller as directed to ask for inclusion...I made the list public for the duration as necessary to encourage interest. If you pay and make shipping arrangements in the alloted amount of time as was previously (in other Group Deals) by the seller, then there is no problem. Perhaps the one member who stepped aside will not have any complaints about the one late-comer taking his place...seems easy enough.

I e-mailed Borgioli74@aol.com today and got in on the deal. I think some people that committed earlier are backing out. Like I said earlier, I was #6 (as of 12cst today). Hopefully we will have some more so we can do this.

If you commited to the Group Deal, You must send payment info to the seller without delay...you are holding up progress if you wait for someone to e-mail you directly...

Borgioli74@aol.com

There was no less than 15 original names submitted so there should be absolutely no less than this even with back-outs and replacements to step up. Pay now or forver hold your $$$ waiting for another.

How many do we have now? I am #6...is there anyone higher? He hasn't requested payment information yet from me...he said once he has everyone lined up, he will do an all-call for the payments.

i am sure this has already been answered in either previous posts or in this particular post, but i dont feel like reading through 5 pages, so:

my car has stock shocks and struts w/ 40k miles. i dont feel like spending more money on new ones. how will these new struts work with them? also, whats the difference in ride quality, is there a big handling difference, and last how much of a drop is it?

thanks for letting me know and not flaming me...

most people report that these maxspeed springs have a stock SE (t <- for infinity)type ride, maybe a lil harsher, but not harsh like eibachs or sprints. Alot pof people report that after initial installation they are getting around 1.25" in the front and 1" in the rear, before they settle, they are supposed to be around 1.7" front and 1.4" rear. and alot of people have used stock struts with these springs

this information is from what people tell me, niot from experience.

I just got my info today. He said that I was #16 and shipping was 34.50 to Canada. Ouch. Does anyone know if that is in USD? I sure hope not..And do we just give him our CC info now? He has not yet requested that.

I wouldn't give your CC information until he asks. He is probably going to see how many people he can get before he closes the GB.

As for the ride quality and stock struts...I think you are asking the wrong people. We dont have them yet

However, from the posts I have seen, the MaxSpeed are almost identical to stock ride quality. theMax did a good write up here:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....light=MaxSpeed

I also think with the SE struts and MaxSpeed springs that are pretty close to stock, we may get better results using factory struts then with an Eibach or something...IMO

Just got this from the seller:

"please post to the thread i will be taking payment today through friday at 7am, payment will be made by either paypal to vwcafe@volkscafe.com or emailing me directly with CC info, name and billing address"

I emailed him back to verify that it is $85 plus the shipping cost he quoted each of us. I have not yet gotten a response. I will keep you guys updated.

Brian
