Big brakes in the back would be nice! Do you know how much this kit would retail for without the group deal? I want one, but don't have the cash now.

Hey guys,

Just spoke w/Nigel and got a few answers for you :

- Rear XD's are possible; expect to pay around the same price (if not the same) as for the front kit. They haven't made any -yet- but it can be done with just 1 order.

- GD price is fixed at $800 This is for 10 people; Nigel claims they don't like doing group deals anymore so it's the best he can do.

- They can send you a template if you have doubts about wheel fit (on stock 17's in particular). You MUST have 17's at least though if you want these to fit

Let me know if you guys still want in; as soon as I have 10 people email me their interest I will pass it along and you can order!

Thx,
Jer

So is the price NOW $899 and not $800??

My Major problem with this kit is that I am thinking of getting 18s or 19s in a couple of weeks, and dont want my rear brakes looking like small little rotors. I wish this included the rear set. But $1800 is too much for a complete set to me.

I can vouch for your concerns BigDog; got my 18s a few weeks ago and just that extra inch makes the rotors look wimpy....I've gotta do something to fix that and get out of this damn judder problem. Front brakes will be the priority though....maybe a 300zx rear conversion with one of these Wilwood Maxima front ones....

As far as I know the GB is still on for $800 for the front kit....not $899. Jer's email stated $899 outside of the GB for either the front or rear kit.

I will call them 2day to get the template for the rims....since I will be using my stock 17x7 rims for the winter months.

If I hit the brakes hard from 75 + MPH my car vibrates real bad. It's kinda scary.

Sorry about the lack of updates; my work has become an utter nightmare around the clock, leaving me time to try to sleep and yell at non-work-related people on the side.

I'm going to call them up Wednesday and see what kind of discount they can give us as it stands now; my 2nd pair of front rotors is dying, the rears are something I will need to worry about when I have the other $800 lol.

If you don't see a post by 3pm EST on Wednesday, send me a PM and ***** me out real good so I call them

Spoke with Nigel from Precision Brakes. Here is what he e-mailed me:

Hi Angelo

We have discussed the group buy at length and have decided to go ahead with
it. However, we do have a couple of conditions. The price will be as
before - $800.00 - for the complete kit - rotors, calipers, pads, brackets,
hardware, stainless steel lines etc. plus shipping. The group buy must have
a definite end - beyond this, we will not accept any more group buy orders.
I would suggest close of business on Friday 14 July as a firm end date.
Beyond this date, the price will revert to the regular price of $999.00.
The group buy must reach at least 10 brake kit orders. We will accept
orders within the same group buy for all generations of Maxima for which we
have kits - third, fourth, and fifth gen. The kits may be ordered with
cross-drilled and slotted or slotted only rotors. The kits will all come
standard with Wilwood 'D' street/performance compound pads - any changes
from this must take place at time of order and there may be a price
adjustment depending on the pad compound selected. We require a deposit of
half the kit price at time of order and will charge the remaining half and
shipping at time of shipping. All kits will be shipped within three weeks
of the close of the group buy.

If you would prefer an earlier close to the group buy, that would be
acceptable - it would mean that you would get your stuff sooner - it is just
that next week is a holiday week and many people will not be available.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Regards

Nigel
