I'm gonna be 100% honest, THE HANABI KIT IS A POS.
$250 wholesale cost POS KIT.

The "HID Plus" 7000K kit is better than the Hanabi, but still bulbs are PHILIPS TAIWAN~~~!!~~!!~~! *questionable reliability*

A True Philips Germany Kit will run $500-$750.(4300K or 6000K.)

Want a Kit, Get McCulloch, using REAL PHILIPS GERMANY Ultinon 6000K, D2S Burners. Cost: $575.

-You get what you pay for.

Give them a few months, when burners start turning different colors, ballasts start to short out.
I know other dealers of the Hanabi kit, and they've all stopped selling them, even if they made close to 100% profit on them, it wasn't worth the complaints of different color bulbs, one bulb failing, ballasts shorting out, starters overheating and cracking.

I won't say anything that I haven't seen or experienced, its seriously a shame on how much HID Crap Kits are out on the market. In Taiwan, there are US$200 HID kits, marked "Philips."

With legislation in the works to ban aftermarket HIDs, look out, as cops are starting to crack down on HID use.

I converted my foglamps to use D2S HID burners, by molding in a D2S housing base and my headlamp HIDs have a separate 194 hyperwhite wedge bulb as a "city light", so I rarely get looks from cops, since they see the floor lit white, and my headlamps are technically "on", but all the light is provided by my D2S foglamp system. When I do have my 6000K ultinons on, the ground is purple w/ some of the foglamp white blending in.

*There are exceptions...The Kit on Toylet's car has been in my car and his car combined to close to a year and 0 problems. A few others had minor problems which were corrected, either by a new 20A fuse or new ballast, since someone didn't secure theirs too well, but I let it slide...

To be honest, they sell for like $300 US in Taiwan and that is retail price..hahahahahhahahah--meaning, I can get that price by just walking into the store all day long.

Please Please...the only real HID kits are those from Japan 100% made. BJ UNION, BELL OFF------- to be honest, they cost $530US , and they are top notch quality...no taiwanese involved

Wanna explain how I am using Philips 6000K Ultinon D2S HID burners w/ H4 HID rings ?

Philips Taiwan, not involved w/ my kit. I have retrofitted 4300K Philips Kit in my PF, and it uses D2R HID burners.

Tim, remember the Philips HID Kit you held for over 2 months ?
Still works...Remember the D2R HID burner w/ the big plug for the base, same as McCulloch on my Maxima, except smaller ballast, a starter, and instead of 4300K burner, Philips 6000K Ultinon D2S.

-Peace

That still doesn't answer the questions..man McCulloch is made in taiwan period.. I dont' know what you did to modify the kit but it is made in Taiwan..I have seen it in person or should I say..I just bought one for my friend for like $300 US..

So don't tell ppl that McCulloch is the Kit...Bell Of, Bj Union are the "kit" according to some techs who have installed millions of HID kits, these are the 2 which have most stable light output and it won't have like "not firing up problem for the 1 or 2 months", or one side is different color than the other, or the worst the burner simply won't light up.

There are tons of HID kits that are made in Taiwan(9 out of 10 HID kits you see on the market)...the only ones that "Taiwanese" ppl or factories did not get involved into any manufacturing or assembling are BJ UNION, BELL OF, PIAA...ETC

Now the HID kit you first sent me is called "big head" here in Taiwan..it has been long gone(according to tech ppl here, they stopped selling it even before you started selling HID kits on this forum)...dont' know why you were still selling that POS.

Now...are you still selling K2 kits? which is made by Korea....the quality is okay..but for that price range, you can get 100% Japanese made HID kit...

Ever hear of repackaging to protect sources ?

Every Philips Taiwan bulb had injection molded bases w/ wire leads. I only use McCulloch ballast and starter.

I have enough H4 Hi-Lo kits in my room...
ALL JAPANESE.
PIAA/(Ichikoh)
Bellof

S4 headlamps w/ REAL Philips Germany system.(Don't ask how I got it.)

K2...LoL. Dumped those systems a while ago.

If you know any reliable sources to get those HID kits, then sell away on the .org...

manufacturers are dix when it comes to importing to the US w/o a insane 1M yen buy in + 750K Yen/ mo. purchase requirement.

Sure, I can bring 4 kits back, they are BJ UNION (MADE BY IPF)--100% Japanese made...I would be nice and sell at $700 US each.hhahahahha..they can easily sell up to $900-1000 US (if anyone can ever get these, BTW they look damn similar to Bell Of system)....anyone interested?
