There is NOT a group deal on tails ... if you read the rest of this thread you will see what went wrong.

If you are interested in inserts, please email me in Sept. and I will see what I can do, but until then, it is too time consuming and messy to be doing in my apartment.

Yo im down, i want a set of red/clears for my 99. When do you need the money by? I can have the money by the end of the week. $160 is the cheapest so far and i can't let this go by.

And I have no problem with that. I will be happy to lend my expertise to ANYONE that needs it. What you may be missing Mamoru, is that lots of people don't want to do this themselves. Hell, the first time I did it, I cracked one of my taillights and it SUCKED. I am going to try to do a more detailed write up this week of how to do it yourself with LOTS of warnings based on my experience (read: based on how I messed up).

Still looking for 4 more people to get this thing rolling.

 

I can't do it myself, my tails are cracked in certain areas so if i do them myself, they will break.

 

How often are you going to run this deal? I don't have the $$ right now, and I think I might try doing them myself before buying them, but I just wanted to know how long you are gonna be doing this. Thanks.

 

Well, like i said, it needs to be in lots of 5 as I can only get this good deal on the lights by buying 5 at a time. I will keep everyone posted via this thread when I have another one. I have a few people that emailed me via my website (non-org members) that I have to ask if they want in on this. I will let you all know ...

I am not running this deal.. or have any affilation with this deal.. but for all the people who said save $160 and do it yourself.. i would say .. buy it for $160 then clear your own tails and sell your old ones.. this way you have a set already done..

$160 is a damn good price.. **** .. i can't go lower than that.. thats next to free.. being that the tails cost $200 retail..

buy them from the guy and clear your tails later.. and all the haters.. stop hating on people talking about do it yourself..

Would 97-99 taillights be able to fit a 95 Maxima SE??

 

They'll fit, but the red and clear will be reversed from yours. 97-99 has red on top and clear on bottom, 95-96 has the opposite. It will fit, but not look too hot.

 

How much to ship up to Canada...in Toronto?

If it is reasonable I will be interested...but must calculate landed cost with the exchange.

I'm not sure how to calculate this stuff etc. You can do it, just use 33647 as the origin and see how much etc.

I am STILL looking for at least one more person. You mean you clear the same lights. I thought the max tail lights could not be cleared, you need to buy them cleared. Wouldn'tthe bulb show if you clear the stock lights? Maybe im just totally confused

And yes, the red reflector comes out ...

 

The bulb does show a bit, but I cut a piece of flourescent light cover to fit in the opening like a glove. It's not TOTALLY clear, but matches the inner tails quite well. Like MrBlank says, go to my website for pics. Click on the "My Maxima" link for pics of my car cleared out.

Please be aware that even with amber bulbs the visibility of the blinkers in ALL red/clear taillights (no matter who made them, unless OEM) have been known to have some visibility problems during the daytime. In no way shape or form am I liable for your decision to put these on your car and I am fully disclosing the fact that blinkers on both sides in the rear of your car will become more difficult to see by cars behind you and you should use caution knowing this fact. This is because even though the fourescent lighting material diffuses light, it was not originally intended for this application and does NOT diffuse light as an OEM lense would.

The only reason I'm saying this is because I personally heard of cases of people selling these lights and being sued because the customer they sold to was rear ended and decided to say it was the fault of the blinkers in the taillights. People want to sue for ANYTHING nowadays - any way they can. By buying and installing modified OEM taillights from me, you are releasing me from ANY liability for ANYTHING that comes from your installation of these taillights. I am NOT a business, I am doing this for you guys and I hope that everyone is okay with this public disclaimer.
