I am in for a Y pipe for 5th gen. I don't know if budget quality is really there? But if we are going with the stainless mandrel it should be all g.

I just ordered one from budget a week ago, they said right now they only have 1 type of Y-pipe for sale, so who ever said aluminum or SS, they only have SS no aluminum for sale. And as for the last post about manderal bent, they only sell a non-mandrel bent y-pipe. Im sure most people knew that but just wanted to answer for those who did not.

The total cost was between $165-175, because they are in canada so when the credit card company gets the request from budget, the exchange rate for that particular day effects the cost.

you're joking right?

Stillen's, Warpspeed's & Cattman Y-pipe's are supposed to give anywhere between 9-15 more horses

I'm in as long as we can order them for my third gen as well. I do believe that the budget pipe gives near to the same performance as the competitors

Budget Pipes work believe me. No one has ever proven they have even gotten 1 HP gain over a Budget Pipe.

not joking one bit....i wouldn't waste my time researching it if i thought you could really get 10-15 more horses out of a mandrel bent pipe over a non. from what i have read the diference is 2 or 3 horses if that. i don't have the time to try and find a specific thread dynoing mandrel vs. non but here's something

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=112070

like i said before.....the $100 i save will go to something else....pulleys

How well do the Budgets hold up against rust versus Warpspeeds stainless steel? I live in WI where we get lots of snow and put down lots o salt on the roads.

*nevermind, saw in another post that they're stainless steel. I'm in for sure!

HERE'S THE DEAL......

i just heard from budget on the group deal. there are no pipes for the 3rd gens available because they have never had one to make it for. as for the 5th gens, they are in the process of making a jig for it now and should be completed petty soon.(they said they have a 2001, i assume 2000-2002 would be the same pipe?)

the only pipe that is available now is the 304 stainless steel painted black. the price will be $250 canadian (about $165 us) shipped
the orders will be through email only....and only those on the list i give them will be able to order. they are going to start taking orders june 5th.

as for mandrel bent pipes, they are working on those as well. i will get more info on that and when they will be available.

still a few things i am unclear on in terms of payment and will have answers for soon, but i wanted you all to know what's going on.

$250 CD is there regular price, so why would anyone join this group deal? Instead of placing 10+ orders at one time and waiting for all of them to get finsihed. Just order the pipe yourself. Do not want to ruin this deal but just telling everyone the truth.

Oh alright, all I remember is I payed between 165-170 USD, which I think equals 250 or so when the 1.5 exchange rate is used.

first off the original price is $275 cd. the current exchange rate is 275*.065= 178. and if you do go with the gd, it will be 250*.65=162. so there you go....you save $16. some of us aren't loaded because we are in college, and saving a few bucks even if it means wating a few days if fine. second, who said anything about wating for 10+ orders? they are going to start taking orders june 5th. regardless of #'s
and third i took it upon myself to organize some sort of gd with budget because nobody else did. so if you don't like what i am trying to do...don't respond to the post.

I was just on Warpspeeds website, and they have 2k2 Y pipes listed and priced...looks like they are available for order. $195 to 299, depending on choice of y pipe.

The 199 is aluminum. You would want to get the same one(Stainless Steel) in comparison to budgets which warpspeed sells for 299

Few things to clear up....
-the 5th fgen pipes will not be available for the deal.
-the mandrel bent pipes i mentioned are not available yet. someone from budget will post here when they are. (dosn't look like that will be ready for a bit.)
-still sorting out the price for the pipes....hopefully it will go lower. orders will be placed EMAIL ONLY!! you will be responsible for emailing them with info(year, address, credit card info and phone #)

so hang in there and i will post more info when it becomes available

Does Budget have a website I can order from? I have a 5th gen and would like to see if I can order direct and get a good price. Thanks
