What springs to get???

I am going to redo my suspension very soon! I know that I want KYB-AGX shocks, but im unsure about the springs. I am going to be putting on 18 inch rims when I lower my car. I am looking for some springs that will increase handling some, I plan to put SFC's on sometime so that will drastically increase handling. I want to lower it about 1.5-1.7 in. Anyone know how Ground Control coilovers affect the ride? I do like that you can adjust the height of the car very quickly, I believe someone said that you can adjust between like 1-3 inches. Just give me ur thoughts.

Hmmm, I believe that you have to cut a coil with both Intrax and progressive to get an even drop. From what I have heard coil-overs are a harsh ride. So out of your choices I would have to say coil overs if you don't mind the ride. It would be bad **** to be able to adjust your ride height. I have not owned any of those springs so I can't give a opinion on expierence.
I am happy with my Eibachs, 3 finger gap all around.
I think Fst96se has progressive or Intrax. Take a look at his ride, it's pretty low. I think your choice in struts is good though.

Coilovers are a good/bad thing. The good thing is that they are adjustable the bad thing is to do it right you have to get their load correct. Some people just adjust them for ride height but that isn't really the correct load needed for the individual spring. This is why you see some slammed cars that bounce really bad. I know from first hand experience that Intrax have a nice firm ride, but the but of the car does sag a little when you have a full tank of gas or stereo stuff in the trunk. I have some pics that I'll try to post later of the intrax drop on my i30.

Do you have to cut the front coils with Intrax? How much does it sag? I have a stereo in the back and I dont want it to look too low. I either want the front and back equal height or the back a bit higher then the front.

like .125inches, The thing that really throws it off is that our rear wheel wells are shaped differently from the front. I didn't cut my coils.

I was watching an older video of ur car, and I love the height of your car. I probably will go with Intrax, I know you said that they handle great and look good also. Where did you buy them? I havent been able to find them.

are you finally doing this brian?

i used the eibachs so i can't offer an opinion on the others. the ride gets kinda annoying with them sometimes over certain pavement with lots of small dips. even with the kyb's turned all the way down i don't think it can be a road trip car anymore.

My Eibach/Tokico are not near that bad as you describe. I have driven from Chicago to Oklahoma 4 times with them. No big complaints here, at least not enough to keep me from enjoying a cross country trip.
