I have no clue how much it will cost, but keep us updated on the exact price. Ive been thinking of doing this because I really like the stillen kit.

sounds good, but are you 100% positive that the rear will fit? It may need some custom work as well. Are you repainting it the factory color or something new? Keep us updated.

the rear valence will need to be custom molded as the front will be. The rears of our I30s are different than the Maximas as well...

I might be getting an I30 body kit made for the I30...check the link...

you don't need to rears...I just meant to say that it will need to be custom molded as well...good luck with that!

Got a rough estimate, way too high in my opinion. There is a local shop who does a lot of body kits on imports (ive seen them outside the shop) i heard they do good work, they were talking 2000 just to paint and install the kit, w/o anything xtra. option 2-i have a friend who has worked on auto body for 5 years and does good work, he wants 800. the car I personally think needs a full paint job, but with these prices i feel like that may be down the road, or i will save up and get it all done in one shot

i already purchased the stillen kit with 2 front lips brand new 900 shipped, group deal. that price is way less than half of what i would have spent for a kit designed for i30. i really like the way it looks too. all said and done the labor and kit will end up costing the same as what your doing, unless i go through a friend which is probably what im going to do. he does great work, but the molding of the 2 lips will be rough for him within his capacity of available tools. I will keep you all posted on how much i pay and ill take some digital pics when im done.

If you could get a good price maybe we could get a group deal. They could mold 2 lips for like 5 people and maybe get a discount.

what the body shop will do...is make a mold of your front lip for your car...and then he will keep that mold to make other I30 specific lips for others. If you can guarantee him a certain #, we can help you bring the cost down of having it custom made if he makes a mold for us I30 owners...

Ive been thinking about doing this for a while now. Though I really dont understand how you would mold the 2-lips together(on top of each-other, middle portion of one to other?).

i havent a clue when i get the kit friday ill look at it and compare it to the front to see what needs to be done, i30cefiro is the only guy i know of that has done this. he is hard to get a hold of, he doesnt have any room in his mailbox, so if any one else knows how this molding will work feel free to fill us all in.

What i do know is that body shops use a type of weld on ureythane body parts which can give great results after its sanded down and painted. the weld is a weld that is heated and melted and works as an adhesive, ureythane cannot be melted together.

what they will do is basically cut each front lip in half...and then they will mold the two together, probably using fiberglass. once they are put together, they can either mold it to your car, or just mount it like the Max owners do...using 3M and a few screws...

i got the kit, but not the second front lip, i called sw autoworx about the issue and left message, to be honest i think i can fit the front lip w/o a second one. it looks like it will fit, the rear does too, ill take a lot closer look at fitment tommorrow and let you all know, the stillen kit i got is for 95-96 max, it is different from the 97-99 kit, which is the one on the i30 in hawaii i keep reffering to. i30cefiro. maybe i wont need to do anything special lets hope

How does the 95-96max front lip differ from the 97-99. Is it wider?
does it look different?

I talked to i30Cefiro about this...

The way its molded is that one lip gets cut in half (in 2 seperate EQUAL pieces) and the second lip gets cut NOT in half, but in 5/8's (So one lip is a bit longer than the other)

Then the longer lip gets molded to one of the lip's that was cut in EQUAL HALF, thus creating a wider lip (The I30's front fascia is wider than the Maxima)

The side skirts are a direct fit.

And the rear side valences require a custom mold into the rear bumper...

I still dont see any fitment issue, since the lip is urethayne its flexable, and it completely covers the bottom front of the car, the sides meet around the area where the tire well equally. i know that the one side one the back needs to be cut to accomodate the exhaust area which is not a big deal.
