front fascia mods.

Ok guys I've decided this weekend up coming I'm going to make a big cut in my front bumper.

I want to take the center part out of the lower valance. I think it might have a nice M5 on weed look. I'll black out the white behind the bumper and spray paint gutter mesh black to help keep it looking uniform

What are your thoughts? I'm also going to order a new grill and play around with cutting the loover out of the grill, painting the chrome piece the same color as the car and then re-applying the infiniti symbol where it is supposed to be.

that's what I was going to do! I will be receiving the sports mesh grille from SY, and then I'm going to match that grille and do the lower part of the bumper with it! I think it will look great!

how far up are you going to do the lower valance? I'm thinking about being conservative and just taking the lower vertical pieces then the thick center piece. My concearn is how shallow the white is, meaning that towards the top where the license plate it the plastic only goes back an inch or so. I might have to do some glueing of plastic to make it all match up then paint over it. This is an iffy project unless you have means of painting the whole front end. I hope it works out well.

What I was going to do was cut the lower part out, but not the center piece. However, on the part above the center piece, I am going to mesh that as well. Once I receive the grille, I will begin the process. If you want to wait, I'll be working on it in about a month. If not, good luck and keep us all posted!

do you think it will look as good having the horizontal bridge going across? I think it would if it was more like the bridge on the 95-96 maxis. I'm hoping that the molding behind that upper stuff will be deeper than what it appears.

That is looking sweet. I was also looking at pics from that guys Cefiro in S.A. I think that the grill and fascia will be a nice "modded" look for our no body kit cars. Mwahahahahahahahahahhhhahah

More M roadster rather than M5ish

could someone maybe do it in black with a chopped mesh grill? I have thought about this since day one but I didn't want to end up having to buy a new bumper if I cut it wrong or something.

My brother did something similar to his car. The spot where he cut out the horizontal bar had to be bondoed(sp?) and painted. He ended up having to buy another gille and do it again to get it to look right.
