Finally! It's Installed! Front lip spoiler!

Hey guys, I know I've been keeping a few of you waiting about the goodies I needed to install. Well, last night, after a hurried trip across the state, I got home and found the tools I needed to install the pieces.

FYI - these are the Australian Spec Maxima ST-R front skirt spoiler pieces. I bought them from a member here on the board "Lp." He did an excellent and very professional job of letting me know what needed to be done, as well as his excellent packaging and damn near instantaneous shipping.

Ok, on with the actual pieces. I dropped them off at a body shop this week and had them painted. It took 2 days and cost me $75 to get them done. I probably could have had them painted cheaper, but I was impatient and this shop was recommended to me, so I went with it.

The kit includes both Left and Right pieces as well as instructions, all mounting hardware, adhesive tape, and liquid adhesive. The installation is very straightforward, it can virtually be done yourself.

I needed my sister to help me hold the skirts on the car (bless her) while I put screws in, but beyond that, it's a very DIY job.

I think they look excellent, definitely fills in what's missing on the front of the car, especially for those of us who already have side skirts. I noticed from the pictures that I took, that it's kind of hard to see the skirts as they are...it just rained this morning and the sky is overcast as well as my car is dirty, so the pics far from do it justice. In any case, I think it should give you a good idea of what they're like.

If you have any questions/comments, I'll be happy to answer them!

Here are the pics:

Thanks, as far as pricing goes, I'll let Luke (lp) fill you in on that.

Oh, and I got affirmation regarding my installation skills...the skirts held tight after a quick jaunt to 120MPH

Hehe...thanks man, me and Luke have been working together for the past two weeks to get these things to me and I've been working for the past week or so to get em painted and installed.

I know what you mean by them sticking out to the sides, but in reality, they really don't. The pictures far from do it justice. It seems that I can't get the right camera angles (nor good daylight) to work with to get pics that show them the way they are.

Luke's name on here is just "LP." He hooked me up with these things, so he'd be the man to talk to.

Phew.......

Excellent! I'm really glad everything went well and your satisfied with the results. In fact, IMO the skirts look even better on your I35 than they do on the Aussie ST-R.

Congrats John!

Sorry guys and gals, I no longer can source these or any other OEM parts. Unfortunately, my personal contact at Nissan who ordered these for me has left the building.

Not sure if you're talking about my side skirts, but they're OEM from Infiniti (part of the sport package).

To buy the side skirts, they would cost approx. $600 a side (When i asked about a year ago) painted. I figure i'll just wait for a decent set of aftermarket OEM-looking ones.

Ahh, didn't know they were on there factory. Wonder why the sides are sooo much more than the front. Anyone seen any decent sides? Like something very very simple..no cuts or grooves or angles.

Good idea on the junk yard idea. Trying to see if the 1st gen I30's have the side skirts but can't seem to find any pics of I30t's that have them.

I dont think they did - Ive seen 1st gen 30's and 30t's, but neither ever had OEM skirts on em. Maybe they make a kit for you guys?
