distance to empty

for the last month, whenever i fill up the gas tank and check the computer for the distance to empty, the number doesn't change. It takes close to a full day for the number to get into the 280's or 290's. Has anybody had this problem before?? I have a 2002 I35 w/11,000 miles

hmmm... Nope - that's the one thing (other than elapsed time and average MPH) that works in my trip computer. The MPG is always over by 3-to-4 (i.e. reads 27.4 over a 2500 miles test, actual was 23.7). Mine has over 30K on it (bought one of the first ones off the line in October 2001) and it always changes the minute I fill up and turn on the ignition. Strange that it can compute the average MPH down to the 't' after 2500 miles, but the MPG is _ALWAYS_ off by 10-15% high every time!
