Potholes?

What else besides rims/tires can be damages by hitting a pothole? I hit a pothole a few month back and the car has a slight shake now at highway speeds (70 the most). I bent both rims on the passenger side but the tires seemed ok. I had the rims repaired and still had a shake on the highway. So, to this date I have done the following: purchased both new rims and tires (all four), resurfaced rotors, alignment twice, rebalanced the new rims and tires at least twice. No one can figure out why this car shake now at high speed. It's not a terrible vibration, hardly noticeable in the steering wheel, more noticeable in the pedals and in my legs. I find it hard to believe that I have damaged the drivetrain/suspention by simple hitting pothole. This is frustrating and I have not enjoyed my car since this happened. Has anyone else damaged there car like this from a pothole?

If the pot holes were bad enough to bend both rims I imagine they could have damaged front end parts as well.

But what? Suspension or drivetrain? or both? Also, I didn't tell them that I hit a pothole. Should I?

I imagine you took the car to the dealer under warrenty, in which case I would not tell them you hit a large pot hole.

I am not an expert of front end parts, but you could have maybe damaged the axel, control arm, strut.......They could be slightly bent causing the slight vibration. If the damage is so minor a visual inspection may not find the culpret.

This really sucks!

Thank PPL.
I have to say that I am not happy hearing what you guys are telling me. I have hit potholes in every car that I have owned and have never done anything more than ruin rims and tires. This makes me question the build and durablility this car. Anyway, should I take it somewhere and tell them what I did, make them find the problem and then go tell Infiniti? At this point Infiniti is clueless as to what is wrong with it. I really don't know what to do.
