Newb to the I30

just wanted to say hi to all. I just purchased a 2000 I30 today! it's diff. from what I prev. drove, a del sol. I'm still not used to the body roll. It has 47k mi. and I bought it for $14.5k, I'm sure this is a good price. I noticed a warped rotor though (pulsating brakes) is this common? Does anyone have a better solution than goin stock? i.e. aftermarket slotted rotors/pads. I'm uncertain if they will also warp. Any advice will be appreciated in what I should look for: int/ext/brakes/engine etc...

Welcome.

Body roll can be taken care of with a good set of lowering springs and struts/shocks. There are a few different options if your wanting to upgrade your brakes. Do search of the 5th gen fourm for that info.

Are you sure the brake pulsations you are feeling are not just the anti-lock brake system? If you've never driven with ABS before, it might feel a lot different. Some ABS systems pulse right after you start the car and start driving as the system checks itself.

the stock brakes perform pretty well on the I30's, but if you want better performance some drilled brembo's and hawk pads would be an improvment

no the pulsation is from warp rotors, not too bad but noticeable. A mech. at infiniti confirmed this yesterday. I found some brembos for $57ish w/ free shipping each. What's a good/cheap place to order hawk brakes?
