Auto head lights feature

I have a dumb question here. I have an '01 I30t with the automatic head lights feature. I was wondering if there was a notification of some sort that would let me know if the headlights are on or not. For instance, in Virginia, when its raining outside, by law you must have your headlights on. Well when its daytime, its hard to tell if they are on or not. Does anyone know if there is an interior light, an indicator, or something to that effect? I know this is probably the most retarded question you've ever seen but any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can tell by the brightness of your instument panel (speedometer and tach) and by the other lights, if they are dim then your lights are on. Or you can turn the lights on yourself. I hope this helps.

here's what you do. turn on your headlights, then use the dial to dim the dash lights slightly(to your taste), then put the headlights back on auto. now anytime the headlights come on the dash dash lights will dim slightly, letting you know that the headlights are on.
