I picked up a center rear tail light section off ebay for 80 dollars from a 99 I30....I want to replace my old school 96 center tail to the updated look but i am not sure what to remove to get the light off...i took off 4 nuts from the corners of the light and the 2 from the lock assembly....aside from removing the electrical plugs and bulbs, what other screws do I need to remove? Does it take effort to pull off or come off easily? Also, the new center tail light section does not have holes for the lock assembly to bolt to like the 96 does...could this be a defect? Or is that how the 99's come? Answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

$80?? Wow, that's a great price. What did you type in the search to find that on Ebay? I go to parts and type I30, but have yet to locate a rear tail light section.
Thanks.

just use the button to open trunk! Sounds more safe to me that you have no key

it's pretty straightforward........just remove all the bolts. you kinda have to pop it out and snap the new one into place.....good luck!
