I was looking at I's on ebaymotors.com, and came across something called an I30 Diamond Edition. I was never aware of such a model--there's a chance it might be fake. Anyway, it looks just like a Limited in exception for the top; it's one of those canvas things that you see on '90's American cars, and I must say looks like ****.
Infiniti really managed to mess up the old I toward the end--two tone paint, ugly wheels, wood steering wheel, etc. None of those things go on that car, that's why I prefer the '96 thru '98's.

Why why why why why....
that must be the ugliest i30 I've ever seen. Between the pin striping and the top.. agh
Besides that I suppose it actually looks a lot like my car *shrug* wish my car had that kinda mileage, although this looks fairly beat up around the edges.
I find the emblem really funny: http://www.autoauctionlistings.com/D...5/DSC00109.JPG
I sent a question to them asking what the diamond edition was, we'll see what they reply with

Here is the response I got from them:
"Hello,
The Diamond Edition is not a factory item. It is just a name that they out on the simulated top to give a distinctiveness. This is a real nice car. It was a local trade here at our dealership."
Good thing they spell that out in the auction
Take off the top and I would love to trade them.

Jesus, I would total it for just looking bad. I mean even if you gave this car away the person who would be driving it would duck as low as they could so that they wouldn't be seen.
That is nasty.
