are autodimming mirrors prewired on all I30's?

I just got one for my 96 I30, which came stock with the manual mirror....it didnt come with a wiring harness...does anyone know if all I30's are prewired for this? I know my gle 95 maxima was prewired for foglighs, even though it didnt have that option....maybe this is similar? If not, would I be able to buy a harness somewhere? Thanks!

nevermind I answered my own question....no! Now, where and how much and how to install the OEM wiring harness? Would I just plug into battery and ground and plug into mirror?

Should just be a two wire installation - power and ground. No need for an OEM harness.

ok i talked to the infiniti dealer and they tell me the harness is incorprated ina bundle with all of the electrical lights in the headliner and the visors...and its 60 dollars! Also, according to them, the auto dimming mirror was only available (prewired) in the 98 and 99. So they dont think I will be able to use the OEM harness anyway. Also, they tell me that the mirror should be turned on with the headliights. How can I wire this so that it works? I assume I have to cut off the OEM female reciever plug on the mirror and splice in (should be 3?) wires, 1 to go to power, 1 ground, and 1 to somewhere to get them to turn on with the headlights. When I cut off the OEM plug, how can I tell which wire does what? Unless they are red balck and some other colour? (then it would be obvious). Can anyone help me out on this? Maybe I should have just gone with gentex, but I wanted to keep the oem headliner mount rather than the windshield mount.

are you serious! 502! wtf! i got it off ebay for 45 dollars. there are cheaper, aftermarket ones and more expensive ones with more features, but I wanted the OEM one because it retains the roof mount. I waited for like over a month before an OEM one came up on ebay though, so it isnt all that often. what mirror problems are you having and can you help me with my situation at all?
