Switch to gated shifter

Anyone think it would be possible to switch the shifter in a 2k I30 with the gated shifter of the 2k2+ I35. I love gated shifters. These are the staggered kind that replaces the need for the button to shift if, you dont know what I mean by gated.

I would also like to get a gated shifter for my Maxima. One question I have is how would be OD on/off work. I have a button on my shifter and a light but I know the I35's just move the shifter to 3 to turn OD off. That would be at least one of the problems installing one.

I think it would not be an easy switch. Are both 5 speed autos or 4 speed autos??

Both the I30 and I35 have a 4 speed auto. I would think they are the same trany, but I could be wrong.
