New i30t owner w/ a quick question

What's up fellas?

I just purchased a 2000 i30t yesterday. I love this car!! Nothing like it.

I have a quick question.

My driver's side window makes a squealing noise when it is being opened and closed. Any ideas on what it could be??

Thanks

good luck with the new TOY

Hi, I have a 1996 I30 and my drivers side window does the same thing but mostly only when it is wet or raining. It is not an all the time thing. I have not figured out what causes it so I am afraid I am not much help at the moment, but I did want you to know that you were not the only out there with this problem. If I figure out what it is, I will email you and let you know. Good luck with that. PS. did you try calling the dealer and asking them. They might have had other people with that problem and may be able to tell you.

Does it squeal all the way down, or just when it starts?

Could be as simple as the window squeeking against the rubber weather stripping. Especially if you have tint.

just when it starts, I'm thinking that the rubber is too hard and needs to be soften.

it didn't do it yesterday but did it today.

it's tempermental.
