My roommate just bought a 2001 Infiniti i30. It is sweet, and I convinced him to buy it, and he likes it better than his past two Lexus'. It is silver with charcoal leather and dark tint. Totally sweet.

He got a good deal on it. He bought it for like $17,800 (2001 with 40k miles and near perfect interior and exterior) and they over-allowed him about $500 for his Lexus SUV.

Anyway, it didn't come with a spoiler and he wants one. I know where to get some max spoilers, but don't know all that much about the i30 ones.
A few questions:

1. Where would be the best place for him to get one cheap?
2. How much would he be looking at?(spoiler primed and then painting it) He is not much of a DIY kind of guy, but I am trying to talk him into not ordering the thing from the stealership. I am sure there is a better place to get it from.
3. Could he put a Maxima spoiler on there(from 2001), and if so, how would it look?

Don't know anything about how Max spoilers would look/fit, but I do know there are 2 types of spoilers for the 2000+ I30/I35 available.

The first is the OEM spoiler - you can usually find it for about $100 on ebay, and for about another $75-100 they'll paint it for you too.

The second is the M3 style lip spoiler, like I have. MaxMojo has them for sale on his site, which is where I got mine: http://www.paradox-systems.com

I have better pics of mine installed on my site: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/metaorbit/trunklip.html

Cool, thanks.
I will pass on the word.
Who were you saying would paint the spoiler....the people on ebay?
Would you trust them?
I was just telling him to get it painted from a place here in town.

Also, how much, if you don't mind me asking, was that little M3 spoiler that you have on yours. Paint and everything? And how difficult to put on. I might be able to put it on for him.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Any others are welcomed as well.

The seller on eBay has it painted, and sends it out to you. I've heard good things all around about that business.

As for my M3 style spoiler - check Paradox's site and my site, one has the cost for the spoiler, the other the cost for painting and method of installation.

I'm not sure if you guys are talking about the same place, but I just recently bought a spoiler off eBay from www.spoilerdepot.com. It was $200 for the spoiler, painted and shipped, and it looks great! Also shipped in roughly a week, so it was quick.

Thanks for all that info, guys.
I passed the word on to my roommate and he is going to order one from one of those places and then have someone here put it on locally. Probably the stealership.

I have an OEM spoiler for sale. it is black but you can have it repainted. it comes with a wire harness to connect the brake led on the spoiler and bars to keep the trunk up from the added weight on the trunk lid.

I think he has already ordered one, but I can ask again.
How much are you wanting to get for all that stuff?
Let me know, and we might be able to work something out.
