stinky smell coming from A/C unit when i turn on the car.
do i need to replace A/C filter? or how to get rid it off, and where filter locate it?
another question, when car have low gas fuel, does light come on at instrument cluster? what is knock snesor do to the car?
i'm getting poor mileage lately, does KS cause low mileage?

The stink is mildew in the AC system and air ducks. The next time you have your car serviced, have the system sprayed with a special cleaner. most places will do it for free. You can also find it at any auto supply store. Yes, a light will indicate low fuel in the instrument cluster. And yes, the knock sensor will give you bad gas mileage. To find out if it is bad read the check engine sticky in the 4th gen forum. And please work on your grammar!!

I had a stinky smell coming from my 1996 I30 ac unit last year and I bought some of that Ozone air spray from the Target store. You can get it anywhere I think. i sprayed that in the vents for a few days each time i got in the care and have not had a stinky smell since then. you might want to try it.

Also, I noticed that my low gas indicator light does not come on when I am low on gas and it never has. i even replaced the bulb behind the guage and it still doesn't work. What's up with that? How do I fix that?
