If anyone can answer my possible problem question? I have a 2000 I30 with approx. 55k (auto transmission). I noticed it has been shifting hard in first to second gears. It seems to be slamming into 2nd gear when accelerating from a complete stop and when down shifting from 2nd to first when stepping on accelerator. Are there any documented problems with this tranny? or could it be time for a tranny flush with new filter. Would tranny flush, fluid and filter help this or is my tranny just slipping?

 

There is a TSB out on this. The dealer has to replace the shift solenoids and reprogram the TCM. Mine was doing this with only 20k. This service fixed the problem, although the tranny still shifts too slow for my tast.

You are still under warrantee right?

Why do you go to Kings Infiniti if you dont like them. I would not give them my business even if it were warrantee work.

 

becasue they are the only infiniti dealer servicing the 5 boroughs of nyc. trust me i wouldent if there was another one, its just that the nearest one that i know of is atlantic infiniti but it pretty ar. however kings just hired a new maechanic there and perople say hes really good so im going to him.
