More Australian Maxima ST-R Parts..
Well folks, more parts from Australia have been shipped, delivered, painted, and installed.
There are a lot of new people around the forums these days, so I'll go into a little background first, hopefully to answer some of the questions that are bound to arise.
The Australian-market Maxima (at least in the A33 chassis form) was virtually identical to the USDM 2000+ I30/I35. There was a trim level available known as the ST-R (a performance/sport model, if you will) that included larger wheels, stiffer suspension I believe (akin to the Sport or SE in the states), and sideskirts and front skirts. Now, my I35 was a sport package model, and came with sideskirts from the factory. Front and rear pieces, however, are unavailable in this country. Rewind back to maybe a little over a year ago. I made a contact on this board with a member (Luke) in Australia and was the first person in this country to get the front skirts for the I30/I35 in my possession, painted, and installed. A couple others (Kalpesh I know) bought them soon after and installed them as well.
Fast forward to now. I've been very pleased with the looks of my car, save for the lack of something on the rear to balance out the look with the front skirts and rear skirts. I remembered that over a year ago there was some mention of rear skirts being available. I did some searching of old threads and came up with a very tiny catalog image of the part as well as an Australian Part number. Determined to finish out the look of my car, I decided to get these skirts, but had trouble getting in contact with Luke. Finally, after many, many emails to various Nissan dealers in Australia, I had one dealership's parts department write me back. They were receptive to the idea of doing this international order and were very good about getting accurate shipping costs upfront as well as catalog images to verify the parts ordered were the ones that I wanted.
Now, the skirts arrived, I dropped them off at the body shop, had them painted, and installed for $200. I probably paid too much, and definitely could have put them on myself as I had with the fronts, but seeing as I have had NO time lately, I bit the bullet and paid the cash.
Anyways, without further adieu, here are the pics. I will say, they were NOT what I had expected. I was hoping for them to hang much lower, but that was not the case. Had I known they would have been like this, I probably wouldn't have ordered them. But no one here has them, no one has anything for the rear at all (so far as I know), and I was determined to find out. That's not to say that I'm unhappy; on the contrary, they did help finish off the look of the car (balance it out), and of course I know I can drive around forever and never see another I30/I35 around out here that looks like mine. My advice to others, however, would be to get the fronts and the sides, and keep looking for another alternative for the rear.

Now, the moment I'm sure some of you have been waiting for...
How do I order parts from Australia?

FYI - those of you who have been wanting to get the front skirts can order them from Parry Nissan as well. Plus you get gifts, LOL. I have a Parry Nissan hat and drink-can insulator.
Yeah, Nissan dealers down under are fairly good at giving out gifts
When ever I take my car in for an oil change, they'll wash my car for me, give me some Nissan tissues and a Nissan rubbish bag
BTW, forgot to mention, your car looks really nice with the body kit!

Looks good Meta
Thank you for posting pics. I have been waiting to see what you got. The only rear skirt I like more is the evolution skirt.
BTW do you think if you order the factory side skirts from Infiniti they will come painted? The ones I have seen are pretty pricy.
