Farewell, my I30 bretheren

Alas, my I30t is sitting in my driveway waiting for my friend who purchased it to pick it up. No plates, no insurance. I know that he will enjoy it as much as I did.

Don't fret, however, I'm only moving over to the next forum. I picked up my 2002 Gray Lustre SE (6spd) yesterday. I was getting frustrated with the lack of 6spds around NY that were under $20k that I was thinking of getting a 2k1 AE Maxima. Luckily, I saw a 2k2 at a Nissan dealership for a very good price and bought it. It's the stripped down model, but that's ok. I usually redo the stereo anyways. I'll get a leather kit for it. No moonroof, but oh well.

I wanted more power and the 6spd simply enchanted me (the HIDs helped, too). I didn't want to go the S/C route and risk poor tuning and blowing it up. So, I figured a 255hp NA engine would do nicely.

This is my 4th Maxima. I had two 3rd Gens (VG and VE), the I30t, and now the 2k2. My favorite was my VE 3rd Gen....until now. Yes, I actually like my 3rd Gen over my I30t.

I think I need to change my handle to max6spd now.

Anyways, I'll still be around. I don't attend meets, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Take care.

I pointed my friend to the forums, but I think he's just lurking. I'll get some pics up when I actually do something to it. It's so...so...boring looking now. It needs tints ASAP.

I hope you don't have the problems a friend of mine in Jersy has with his '03 maxim with HID's . . .

seems the thieves REALLY like those lights and have taken his twice already! From what he describes it is a horrible scene . . . they used a crowbar to pry the hood up untilk the latch broke, and then broke the lens assymby and ballast out . . . all told about $4200 to fix!

Even if that's the case, insurance will pay for it, but it really isn't worth the hassle. I just hope it doesn't ever happen. *knock on wood*

Only law illinois has is no tint on front driver or passanger windows.......I got two tickets for it before I took it off. Still sporting 20% in the rear though.
