Sorry if this is a repeat question. I am helping a friend replace his struts on his '97 I30. I did this job on my '97 Maxima, and everything appears to be the same. What manufacturer makes the stock replacement struts for the I30? On my Max, I think it was Tokico. Also, any sites to get a good deal on these?

 

Suspension components fot the 97 I30 are identical to a 95-99 Maxima. Stock struts are tokico, with aftermarket available from tokico, KYB, and Koni.

Tokico HP are basically stock replacements, with Illuminas being an upgrade.

 

Wow.... I didn't know that! I guess you learn something new every day.

However, I have heard them refered to as "McPhersons Struts" (I think that is how it is spelled).
