Is the ignition key for a 1998 I30t chipped or not? Meaning do I need to go thorugh a dealer for a key ($50) or can I get one made soemwhere else?

Mike, sorry if this had already been addressed. I tried to perform a seach but it would not let me.

 

No chips. The OEM keys are made with a titanium alloy. They are about $99 at the dealer. I got a regular copy from home depot for $3 and its starting to bend. Time to invest another $3
