(I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but whenever I try to search the forums, I get a message saying I don't have permission to do so.)

I want to have a Sirius satellite radio tuner installed in my 2000 i30t (don't want to replace the head unit, just want to add a universal add-on tuner). Has anyone else done this, and if so, where did you put the display? I was thinking of trying to have it wired through the dashboard storage compartment (where the navigation would be if I had it). Feasible or no?

Anything is possible, but I think that would be quite a reach every time you wanted to change stations.

I was wondering if I could get the stock HU to control the radio and hide away the receiver.
