Cost of headlamps/driveside window

Hi all, I had my I35 broken into in a Shoprite parking lot in broad day light.

They smashed the drive side window, popped the hood open and removed the 2 headlight assemblies. All this in matter of 1 minute!

Approx what dollar cost am i looking at? Wondering whether to go thru insurance or just swallow the cost of repairs myself.

Headlamps will be $550 for the housing + bulbs + any electrical damage. (EACH)

No idea on the window.

comprehensive will take care of that, but if you got a 500 or 1000 deductable you might as well chalk it up.

Sorry to hear that man ... May be you can get the driveside window from junkyard ?!? NJ sucks!!! One of my friend experience similar thing in Jersey City.

Infact, you may even try for headlights in junkyard I guess! If not, go get the Cefiro for A33.

hmm .. right now my deductible too is $500!!!

don't even mess with the insurance! check the junk yards first. if you want new parts check that site (two posts above) you should be able to get everything close to $500. think about it. instead of giving your insurance company $500 and get surcharged for how many years, take the cash, buy the parts install them yourself..it's not that hard...besides this forum will help you. RIGHT GUYS?

That sucks man! Yeah, we can help you at the ORG! in fact, I may be buying the Cefiro headlights rather soon and would be willing to sell you my 96 I30 headlamps for a lot less than you would pay for new. Email me and let me know when you need them by and maybe I can help you out? Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear about the car.
