new coilovers Q?
new coilovers Q?
i just got done putting a set of coilovers on my i30 , took so much time but finally all done and nice and lowered!! i kinda noticed that the springs look very compressed on the car and it feels like they bottom ouut going over rough areas like mild train tracks and pot holes. i was worried that their is a problem with em or the manufacturer sent me the wrong front springs, they seem to be the same as the back ones but the front carries such a more heavy load. dont seem right! anybody else encounter similar questions. the good thing is that it sits only a few inches above the ground and i can adjust them , i like that . oh yea speed bumps like the ones at my school seem impossible and i am wondering weather they are even worth having on.. lata
Well there's a lot more weight in the front of the car (engine being the big culprit) so of course there's a heavier load.
I can't tell you whether anything's wrong though...never dealt with coilovers. I've just used lowering springs and various struts.
BTW - what coilover kit did you use? That would probably help in answering your question.

I now have Tein H-Tech springs and Tokico Illumina struts in the front only. It's great...depending on the stiffness setting of the strut, you can barely tell the suspension's been altered at all - just the way I like it. And the horrible gap over the front wheels is gone - my main goal.
I don't know what coilovers you're talking about. I'm pretty sure there are more than 1 type of coilover system for the 4th gen maxima available anyway. I would post a question in the 4th gen forums as they're probably more experienced with what you're dealing with.
