Hello to everyone. I am new to the forums.
I just got this 98 I30t and I would like to know what you guys think about it.
I will appreciate any constructive suggestions.

Lower it, and leave it alone.
Nice car man! I guess many Fairfax'ians are buying I30s off late ...
Pardon my ignorance, but what advantage do we get with larger rims. I think the standard size is 15 in for std and 16 for Touring, right ? Can someone point me to the basics of wheel sizes etc.,
Thanks.

Luigi,
Nice car, it looks like a good find.
Like everyone else said... Drop that thang! I am using the Eibach springs and Tokico Illumina struts, and absolutely love the setup. My car has a more agressive stance and it handels like a dream.
Lowering Setup
I have been reading some post and found that many enthusiasts like the H&R and KYB GR-2 setup. They argue that the suspension feels sporty enough, but the struts are not really harsh. Is this true? Are there any better setups of springs and struts?
Thanks

BTW, your car is much like a brother to mine: white 97 I30t with 5MT, touring rims, same interior, etc.
All but the cell phone that you have.
I can help you do ao drop on your car, as well. There are a few locals who are very knowledgible in modding the I30/Max.

COntact patch is not tied to rim diameter, more to rim width. Of course, smaller rims are often more narrow, but you reach a point of diminishing returs. Most tires that we run are overkill for the handling limitations of the A32 chassis.
Your notes on sidewall flex are correct, but are more a property of that specific tire than of a particular diameter.
You also have to take into account the weight of a big *** tire on a 15" rim. If you buy nice wheels I think things pretty much ballance out. ie more wheel weight but less tire weight. Of course the rims most people put on their cars are for looks and not performance and thus are a lot heavier than the stock setup.
When I get aftermarket wheels I will make sure that the total weight does not exceed that of the stock wheels and tires. That way I will get all of the benefits and no drawbacks... Well except maybe ride comfort from the low-pros.
BTW about how much do the 15" BBS' weigh with a tire mounted? I know those wheels are light as hell.

I am not sure about the struts, but these Illuminas do the damn thang! I also think the illuminas are more convenient to adjust than the AGX's. Plus they dont even make the AGX's for the A33, but they do sell them modified to fit.
