Does the VLSD prevent you from chiriping tires in straight line

I know that chirping the tires while shifting does not reflect power and it related to tires and road condition. When I had my Maximas I would chirp second gear @ will and occasionally third with a 95se, I have had the I30t for 10 months and have chirped them maybe three times, even when I had the 15s they would not spin. Not sure if my clutch does not grab hard enough or the limited Slip it fighting the tires spinning unevenly. Not a big deal but when I wanted to break them loose in the Maximas I could always do it even with heavy 17s on almost any surface.

VLSD will make both wheels spins instead of the wheel that is slipping to get all the power. With LSD both wheels get power at all times.

Mike no problems I know you were swamped, I need a major overhaul if I am going to keep this car. I need to get a compression test and perhaps new engine I am # 146K now. The clutch seems to work fine it never slips but i cannot spin the tires.

Thanks,
Pat

Well, I figured I had issues..........This is the first 4Gen Ihave had that does not respond. My clutch never slips, I wonder do I have a key value clutch installed and maybe it just does not quite grip as well as it should.

Just found out I have a bad KS so perhaps this is why I am not getting response I was use to.

Yeah, you will notice a huge difference in power when you get that fixed. When mine went bad the car felt real sluggish, and getting a new one in made it feel sooo much better. LSD (from what I understand) won't really change how much your tires spin to a large extent, it just applies the power to the wheels evenly. I suppose this could translate into better grip off the line and while shifting, but it's mainly for taking turns hard and for adverse road conditions. My car handles a few inches of snow on summer tires pretty damn well. With my LSD, I can certainly chirp second, but I don't think I can do 3rd, but that's fine with me. If you have traction issues, or have trouble getting power down from a stop, some nice tires and PR motor mounts will help a great deal. After my PR mounts were installed, lots of wheel hop and thus some spinning were eliminated. Before I couldn't really gun it in first without crazy wheel hop, but now I rarely get hop. I love these mounts. [/rant]
