i got the cefiro a32 one piece lights and 'supposedly' HID bulbs 100/ 90 W.... someone told me they arent truly HID because they have filaments... but my problem is that my highbeams are great, low beams are not... my highbeams are ultra white but my low beams are kind of yellowy and very dim... i had the harness wires spliced to the back of the bulbs... i have the 2 HID bulbs, and then my original halogen bulbs in the same lamp... so each lamp has one HID xenon and one original halogen... the HID are the main bulbs and the halgens are kind of on the bottom... do i need new bulbs?

 

Fist of all let me explain a few things to you so that you dont' get mistaken.

That bulb is 35 watts. HID runs less wattage then Halogen and requires a ballast and ignitors to light them up. HID bulbs use a arc (kind of like welding) from one point to the other. No filament needed. The 100/90 watt bulbs you probably have are high wattage blue coated xenon gas/ halogen mix. Lots of people mistake fake HID bulbs for the real thing. If you were to pull up to a I35 which comes stock w/ HID and then pull up yours you will notice a huge difference. Nothing touches real HID. What year is your I30? You proably had to splice your stock 9004 harness to match your h4 that the one peice Cifiro uses correct? You problem for the bulbs being dim could be you need to replace the whole harness or there is power being lost some where. Did your car have daytime running lamps? DRL run dimmer and you migh thave the wrong wire hooke dup. Bulbs either work or they don't. No need to replace them if they light up. If they are dim then it is due to not enough power being generated.
