I've seen anywhere from 6.5 to 7.5 seconds.

Using my 1/8th mile times and trap speeds I've been able to pull a 6.6 through the calculator.

MetaOrbit:
Is your engine/tranny/exhaust/etc stock, or have you modified it? In another words... are you stock?

Stock engine. No "performance" mods per se.

The MSRP on my I35 was $32,030

It had the Cold Weather Package, Trunk Mat, and Splash Guards on it. The Invoice on it was $29,015. Infiniti was also offering a $2000 cash to Dealer incentive. Bottom line... I got mine at $27,100.

Can be depending on options. My dad's with absolutely every option was $38k sticker I believe. Mine ran in at $34k.

Actually here are the only options that I didn't get on mine

- Navigation System (MSRP $2000)
- Satellite Radio (MSRP $400)
- Sunroof Wind Deflector (MSRP $70)

Even if I got all of these options (which is as loaded as you can get an I35), the MSRP is still only an extra $2470 (The invoice would be @ $2000, I'm guessing).

Thus a fully loaded I35 would carry a sticker price of $34,500.

Yes, in 2004.

In 2002 the Sport Package was an option - as well as other various special floormats, other things I can't remember, and chrome wheel packages. Thus the difference in price.

Let me chime in. I just bought one about three weeks ago, and my sticker price with every option available except satellite radio was 34550. Satellite radio would have brought the price to 35150. I got them to take off 3500 and I walked out at 31000 even with more negotiating (Good credit does work!).

Options were:
- Premium Package (MSRP ?)
- Navigation System (MSRP $2000)
- Satellite Radio (MSRP $400)
- Sunroof Wind Deflector (MSRP $70)
- Rear Spoiler (MSRP ?)
- Rear MudGuards (MSRP ?)

That is some good times. A little faster than what I expected. I will be receiving the Berk CAI in about three hours. I can't wait to put it on.

Would you suggest a cold air intake or a retuned ECU for the best performance upgrade? I'd like a little more low end...

The folks who have gotten the Technosquare ECUs have reported mixed results. Some have seen gains...some have seen none at all. I think the general consensus with the ECU upgrade is that you should wait until you have a list of other performance mods, then get the ECU tuned to them (a sort of icing-on-the-cake, you might say).

As for the a cold air intake - you'll keep your low end (unlike most WAI's) but your top end may suffer as a result of the long tubing. In addition - there are really only 2 types of intakes available to us. The Injen style, which places the filter behind the radiator, which is usually very HOT (bad idea). The second is the Place Racing intake. If I were to get one - it would probably be this one - though be advised, it requires that you cut a whole in your engine bay area to snake the intake pipe through.

For low end though - a CAI is probably the better bet. Just know there are tradeoffs with each.

There is no Premium Package for the I35. I'll bet that you meant Cold Weather Package. The Spoiler is a dealer installed accessory, not an option (not trying to be nitpicky here, but it's listed that way on Infiniti's site). Other accessories include Roof Rack, Bike Rack, etc. I only listed options that you can get from the factory, not Dealer add-ons. I believe that the Spoiler is @ $495 from the dealer.

And with APR for 60 months at 2.9%, its a really good time to upgrade Infiniti's. I recently was offer by Infiniti of South Atlanta (http://www.atlantainfiniti.com/) a deal to buy back my 2002 I35 at more that the trade in value. (There is a huge demand at this dealership for used Infiniti I series.) They were willing to give me $5,000 off of the price of a new 04 I35 (MSRP $31,335.) in addition to the 2.9%APR and the $2,000 incentive from Infiniti. Plus there was a $4,000 dealer reward program that pretty much after 39 months would pay me $4000. I would have got the car in a nutshell for $20,335. No B.S. It was a week special, and the only reason I did not go for it was because I could not get to Union City (South Atlanta) on last weekend. I am in Birmingham, Al. and could not get off work this past weekend. :|

hmmm well then lol. i had gotten a 2003 i35 rental and it was sweet. it looked so nice. only thing i didnt really like was the condition it was in. granted its a rental, but also the craftsmanship of it. i wasnt to happy with sum of it. and for sum reason the little clock looks like sumthing they picked up in chinatown. but it was a nice sporty stiff ride. i think id def buy one.

and as another comment, with all the extra ooptions they offer, like navi system and stuff, i think you are just better off buying like an alpine navi, or something of that sort. youll pay the same price and get better quality. wind defelectors also i have a 96 i30 i took it off i dont hear a difference when driving. i thought it was pretty weird.

Not really man. I love the navi, and nothing is better than the up and down mechanical feature to hide the screen and lift it up. Even when i don't need it, I still have it in the open position. My stereo shop is adding the tv/dvd tuner to the navi system, so I can watch dvds and play PS2 when l am lounging or waiting to pick up the wife or when she drives. Plus I like the factory OEM look of the dash without messing it up with aftermarket radios, I like the clean look in IMHO. Just add better speakers, a really good line converter, and sub. Personally I use jl components, subs and amps.

Sorry, your right, I just looked at the window sticker I kept and it's cold weather package. You not nit-picking, I had no other choice with the options i had. Jim coleman only had two on the lot with navi. One had nothing on it except navi and cold package and was in the blue color. I wanted a non dark color (I had too many black cars) and they said they were not getting any more shippments. So I had to work with the Diamond Graphite that they had and it had everything on it. I couldn't tell them to take off the spoiler and sunroof deflector or mud guards + i didn't want them to anyway. So what i was quoting was what most dealers would sell a full loaded I35 at. I never seen the bike rack, roof rack, vent shades or all of the other accessories before, on a I35 except for the standard ones.

I'd say mid to high sixes for 0-60. This kind of has nothing to do with it, but when I nail it from a stop the first thing I notice is that I am pushing 70 EXTREMELY fast. My old modded manual Max didn't do that. Nail the gas at any speed and notice how far gone traffic is in the rearview I love this car.

I agree! Especially since I'm in need of new tires. I'd rather go burn the h3ll out of these nearly worn-out tires than a brand new set.

Don't you love how if you turn the TCS off it will burn all the way thru first gear? Hehehe...

I used to have a double set of tire tracks at least 30 ft long on cumberland avenue... heheh (I think I worked my way up through 2nd LOL)

Be thankful you have TCS...much less invasive. I've got one of the models with VDC - engine/throttle cut, BRAKING. Insane.
