Got my Xenons stolen out of my I35

I was at dinner the other night when the manager came up to me and told me there was a problem with my car. To make a long story short, my driverside window was smashed and both headlights ripped out. The cops said they tried to chase the guys but they couldn't catch them in their stolen WRX.
Anyway, has anyone else had this happen and/or any ideas on how to prevent it from happening again? I've heard of this happening to Maximas but thought the design was changed on the I35s.

I35s have only been lucky thus far seeing as they tend to be fairly rare - so not many people know whether you have HID lights.

Second, more part of the first really, since most people don't know about our cars, they may have seen 2000-2001 I30's (non-touring models) with halogen headlights, and thus figure it's no use in stealing yours.

My guess is folks have caught on and/or they saw the I35 badge (which means standard HID) on the back of your car.

One more reason to debadge your ride man...

Sorry for your loss though... they should hang people that mess with other peoples rides, we put a lot of effort in those cars to make them beautifull, and pigf*ckers like that just have no respect for it
