96 tranny

does anyone know if a 96 i30 tranny 5 spd will bolt up to my 98 max se 5spd
96 is locking and my 98 is not thanx all

Yes, but you have to replace the driver side axel with one for a locking diff. The splines are different on the two.

tranny

so i just need the driver side not the pass. side axle or both would be the best bet
anyone know whats the going rate for those axles or just one place to get them

Napa has them for about $75 each.
