Why red them out when you can clear out the orange?

My tails are red and I did not use tape, I used translucent red model spray and clearcoat. If you want pics and a how to, please email me and I can sent them to you. I think it turned out great!

I have OEM 96-97 Clear Outer Tails on my car and love them. I still have my stock Tails and I plan on keeping them because a while back Dr. Monkey and I were talking about Mods and he showed me pics of his Red-Out Tails and they were hot. His tails came out so hot for a cheap, easy, inexpensive Mod to do. This way I'll have 2 sets of Tails on my hands to interchange whenever I get the urge to do so. Trust me, his Outer tails came out very nice and classy. It actually reminded me of a Diamante's Back a little, but better.

I have this done on my car as well. I used red spray paint the first two times (had to do it twice because I didn't clear coat it and it eventually faded). The last time I did it, I used this small can of what seemed to be specialized for this purpose - it was red tail light paint with clear coat additive. It has held up GREAT and looks awesome - I get compliments constantly.

There's really no how to needed - just make sure you cover up the rear end of the car real well because you will get overspray if you do it outside (and even if you don't).

I say this every time someone asks about this: on my particular color car, I think the red tails look better than the clear ones. If I had a black or silver car, I'd definitely go with clears. Check out my CarDomain site for pics: http://members.cardomain.com/shiftinfiniti
