Does anyone know if the ball joints are the same on the I30 as a maxima?

The lower ball joints are not replaceable like many other vehicles. The ball joints don't just bolt into the control arm. Even a Haynes manual says to replace the whole control arm to replace a ball joint since they are pressed in. But you can get the ball joints pressed out and new ones pressed in, it's just not something that is real easy to do.

 

Yeah I know. I did the ball joints on my 96 maxima and I just rented a ball joint press from my local auto parts store. I got a set for the I30 and we will see what happens tomorrow when I do it.
