Need info abt radiators

My car has been overheating and I/we thought that it was the thermostat, but at that time I didn't see/realize that the radiator was leaking!!!

I followed two threads in the 4th gen and seems like these are good deals from Radiatorbarn and Radiatorexpress compared to $509 at the dealer (I just called Fields Infiniti).

http://www.radiatorbarn.com/s7.asp?a...size=V6%2C3.0L

http://www.radiatorexpress.com/produ...aia_id=1305098

Can someone suggest me as to what I shud buy. I am totally new to this radiator stuff and want to know if these radiators are reliable!!! How do these compare with OEM

Plz reply asap so that I can buy it and get peace of mind!

Thanks in advance!

A radiator is such a simple component, I would be quite comfortable going with one that wasn't OEM. Of your two choices, I would say go with RadiatorBarn because it specifies "all metal", which is good because a lot of radiators have plastic tanks and those have a shorter life.

Thanks Attomica for the advice, I haven't noticed that fine line in the description abt being all-metal ... sounds good to me.

My car was without any leaks for the last ten days and today I saw the coolant literally dripping. I just bought a radiator from Radiatorbarn. The rep said that it's all metal with brass tanks/tubes or sthg like that. I hope its better than OEM Even with this amount of leak, the car still won't overheat. It's pretty much normal and I've been hitting like 80s on highways over the past few days.

Should be getting the radiator by friday or satday at the most as it is shipped from warehouse just 60 miles from my place. Keeping fingers crossed for now

Bought the radiator for $120 incl. shipping from Radiatorbarn. Looks good, all metal. I got the new radiator (enough heavy, abt 15 lbs.) installed in the car with a drain n fill of coolant at Meineke for $75 () and the mechanic said that the hoses are fine! I forgot to tell him to put new hoses, and so he did his job. Whatever, I just don't want to see any fluid leaking!

Thanks to all you guys who helped with your opinions.

Not surprised, but Meineke where I went says they don't/can't do full flush n fill of radiator coolant!
