Rear Defroster question.

I recently replaced my rear defroster button on the dash with a brand new, from the factory button, and the lights inside the button light up fine. When I push the button to activate the rear defroster, I notice that the back window does not seem to be defrosting?

At first I though it was a fuse, but if that were the case, wouldn't the lights on the button not be working???

What can I do to fix this? It should work fine since this is a new button from the factory!!!

Thanks.

PS. The old button worked fine but the light bulb was burned out in it, so that is why I replaced it.

I can think of only one obvious but unlikely cause-the part you got is defective or incompatible somehow. If your old switch still works even after you tried the new one, at least it is a possibility....
