any advice please?
Tomorrow morning i will start the tedious task of trying to fix my '96 I30. I know the problem is either with the fuel injector, spark plug (just put new ones in), ECU, injector wire, or spark plug wire. I checked the OBDII codes. One of them was for the injector and the other was for the corresponding cylinder. I think the cylinder one was triggered by the injector one. Does anyone have any tips/advice for me so that i can figure out what my problem is faster? I called up my local Infiniti dealership (Awesome dealership) but they charge WAY too much for this. I rented a Haynes and Chilton manual from my local library. Well anyway before I start rambling on and on, I just want to say thanks for any advice or tips that you give me.

It's not gonna be the spark plug wires because we don't have spark plug wires. So do you know which cylinder is misfiring? What codes are you gettting exactly? If you do know which cylinder it is, then try this... disconnect the coil pack while the car is running, if the car runs the same then it's the coil pack. If it runs worse then it is not. Check the resistance on the injectors with a mulitmeter and see what you get. All the specs are listed in the Haynes manual.

Yeah cylinder 2 is the one that is misfiring. I tried disconnecting the coil and it still idled the same but then when i check the plug with the coil on it for a spark, there is a spark present.

ok well i fixed my problem. It turns out that my remote starter that was installed 5 years ago was the culprit. It had stopped working about a week ago after Best Buy "installed" (f*cked up) my car. The wire that was connected to the injector from the starter was giving it some messed up signals.
