ok this is more of a broader question. I know that most of the time the antenna wire is blue and u tap off of that for ur REM wire on stock HU's, well in my car mine was tsapped off of a green wire. I tried helping my friend with his like 2003 i think sentra and i tapped off both blue wires and they have constant power. Any idea of which one i should tap off of? i know the antenna wire, but his isnt motorized so then what?

 

you trying to install an amp?

 

yeah for my friend, he has it to a switch right now, i mean so do i but as another option, i like having the choice of on or off while the radio is on, but when hooked up to the HU it ensures that if u turn ur car off and forget to turn ur switch ooff the amp wont draw any power

 

try splicing it to a wire on the back of the hu. theres a REM wire there. get a test light and try it with the car off then on till you find it. thats how i got it.

 

with this method the amp is off when the radio is off. same with the car being off as well.

i was just getting mad caused i spliced two and they werent it and it was so ghetto and i felt bad cause i was getting it

 

don't worry my advice came from experience too. I've had my share of blown fuses and messed up wires in the past too.
