LMAO! I thought we talked about this cefiro8701. I can't believe you kept those bulbs in there. I have 55 watt bulbs that shine like 80 watts. I am paranoid about mine. The damage is done. You might have to replace the entire housing unit for the fogs. Just pray that your main wiring harness is not damaged, that bad-boy cost $$$$$$$$.

Oh and sorry for the LMAO. I have done this twice to my cars already. My acura cls i had a couple of years ago could only hold a 15 watt bulb. I put in 55 watt polarg bulbs and I burnt out my housing twice. Luckily the fogs lamps were cheap. My g20t, i put in 100 watts sylvania like you did and bye-bye fog lamps. Needless to say, i try to stay within spec now.

Are there kits to beef up the wiring on the fogs so I can put in a brighter bulb?

No just go for a good 55watt bulb. Piaa H3 extreme whites are close to stock HIDs when the stock bulbs get warm. Almost a good match. I currently have sylvanias in my fogs and they are REALLY bright but they do not match the stock HIDs. I will probably be going PIAA all around to match up everything. Here is a pic of piaa's on my Qx4.

I have the Piaa ion crystals right now (55w), but I want something a lot brighter.

I think I may just do my own rewire so I can safely run 100w bulbs for my fogs. I just love the contrast you get with the Ultinons and the yellow fogs.

Exactly. Fogs don't need to be that bright. They aim at the ground, and don't project that far. They're to be used in low-visibility conditions - such as fog - when you don't want very bright lights.

Trey, nice I30. Do you have Hyperwhites, or do you have chrome (amber) bulbs?

I have the Piaa Ion Crystal fogs, so they are yellow.

My obsession is that I want the most light output I can get.

Have you ever seen the fogs on the A33s? They are f*cking weak sauce!

I would stay with the amber bulbs, so I am not worried about performance in foggy situations. The more light I can put on the road the better I can see and people can see me... and no, I will not be blinding people because I know how to aim headlights.

In order to safely run a higher wattage bulb the wiring will need to be upgraded with higher guage wiring, fuses, and relays.

Im sure you could probably build a good kit yourself, but I would like to find a nice kit that has all I need. I would not know what kind of relays and stuff I would need.

Oh, nah my fault if I confused you, but I knew you had the PIAA yellow fogs. I was curious if all the other blinkers on the car were Hyperwhites, cuz you cleared out the headlights and tails, but that doesn't mean anything tho. They could still be amber, just in chrome disguise. I guess you have amber after all tho, or so it seems from your last paragraph.

Sorry, I have chromed amber bulbs in all of my blinkers. I got them from autolumination I think.

I was talking about the fogs too. Are you planning on upgrading the system or replacing with stock stuff?

Have you figured out what the problem is yet? Fuse, wiring, main harness?
