Just saw car after bunch of new mods!!!!

Got Eibachs/Tokico Blues for 1.5 - 1.3 inch drop. CAI (forgot what brand) It is one that sucks air from under the car. Some kind of Cat Back exhaust that looks like a$$ (ricey), but it sounds deep and fairly agressive. I haven't gotten to drive it yet, but my car guy drove it by my work to show me what he got done in one day. Tomorrow I am getting 4 new wider tires 215-60-15s of some brand. (I have stock 98-99 std I30 wheels), and some rear cermaic brake pads. I'm pretty excited!!!

I got to drive it a little on my lunch break and my first impressions are good. First thing is that it is sooo loud! I really hate the muffler esthetically, but I think I kinda like how it sounds. Almost g35ish, very agressive at WOT. The increased power is nice, nothing breathtaking but I can definately feel it. Feels like 10-15 hp. The drop is awesome. No more float, and it corners pretty flat. I just need some new tires.

I'm sorry but I got to say it

1. You should not have gotten tokico blues, they will blow fairly easy with even a small drop.

2. How do you not know what kind of exhaust you bought

3. Why would you put on an exhaust that you thinks looks bad

4. You are buying tires and don't know what kind they are?

Yeah im happy for ya that your gettin a bunch of new ****, but half of the job of modding is researching and finding the best components for your car. Not just wrenching, or payin someone to do it for you. With that said I would love to see pics when your done. Good luck

He has a good point dumba$$! I would never pay someone to install my mods, much less pay without knowing what I am getting.

The Eibachs were a good choice, but I would have (and did) go with the Illuminas.

I think you have an Ingen intake from what you describe.

Do you know your installer pretty well? Will he give you good stuff? post some pics of and we can help you figure out what you got.

Never said anything about having someone else install the mods....just that he doesn't know what he bought. I can't say that I have never had a shop do work for me.

Ok... I had someone install my tint... Sorry.

I know there is nothing wrong with having someone install your stuff, but I was just making a point that I think it is important to have a role in what you are doing to your car. It makes it much more personal and you learn so much more.

I know I was a dumba$$, but I trust my installer, and he does very good work. I know like absolutely nothing about mods, nor do I have very much time to do the research. It was very convenient to be like... "here's my credit card...this is what I want....have fun." The Intake is a (never heard of it) Mugen. The muffler is Ansa or something. Don't know what kind of tires because I haven't bought them yet. I'm just gonna go to Sam's and pick whatever "performance" tire they might have. The muffler is really ugly, but it does sound good imo.

Mugen is mostly for Honda. I am suprised he choose that brand. If the muffler is ugly then get something else. I am sure you can find one that is pleasing to BOTH the ear and the eye!

You definitely got ripped off on your "Mugen" intake. Mugen doesn't make anything for a Nissan...aka...knockoff. And I've seen them for $60 on eBay.
