Windows roll up SLOOOW in freezing temperatures

This is my first winter with the i30 (2001), when the temps are 30ish or below and I roll up the windows it's seems to be struggling, (its very slow rolling up, rolling down is normal speed).

maybe could be cause the rubber is cold and less flexible??? It's not just with ice or frost, but even dry and freezing cold..

same deal with mine and many others. no clue why it does this but layers of silicon lube inthe sides of the rubber help it to glide more freely

Ive got the same problem. I thought my motor was going to die.

So this doesn't seem to have any long term effects does it?

There was one guy (cant remember his name) that replaced some seal on his 2001, and that fixed the problem. Many people have replaced the motor with no effect.
