I'm not sure what it is called, but I think on a lot of newer luxury cars there is a system that basically causes motor braking and is completely normal. I don't know if it even comes on the A33, but I know for example it is on my mom's 2000 Acura 3.5RL and has the option of being turned on or off.
I think it begins with a V or something. Hope that helped a little bit.
EDIT: I think it is called VSA.

I am 100% sure that the A33 does NOT have a motor brake. A motor brake is when the engine does not add gas to one (or more) of the cylinders so only air goes in and gets compressed with out any combustion force driving the piston, and this drains the crank of its power and that is what slows down the engine. Typically, only truckers have this on their rigs.

Well it may not be called VSA, but I'm sure I just mixed up the names of something because I know there is some system that causes it to feel as though the car is slowing. I'm not sure if it actually slows, but I think it stops acceleration or limits it.

ok it never did this before and now it does o by the way i smoked a a6 even tho i got this problem :-D hehehheehe....i love this carrr mashallah...but any way its still doing it wat do you guys think a tranny problem i got the car checked at autozone and they said it came out ok on the ob2 so now wat could it be
Tranny: the fluid does need to be changed
brakes: i had changed the rotors and brake pads to the hawk brake pads and racing brake rotors maybe there rubbing??
fuel injection: maybe the needs to be cleaned has about 75000 miles on the car

well deped on how you drive.. if you give gas ad let go of gas and i notic emy car does this too.. what happens is the ca wont shift to 4th ot wo;; stay in 3r for bit at around the 2000-2500 rpm... until you hit the brake ... then the rpm goes down... its becuase the ecu is anticipating that you will be stepping on teh gas for more acceleration soon so it doesnt shift to higer gear so you can ge the accel you need.. i mean well thats how my car does it..

i guess im still thinking that my brake pads are touching the rotors i have changed them recently and now i think i hear them rubbing too. i took it to the dealer and they changed my air flow meter says that it was bad but afterwards it still drives the same so tormw im gonna check my brake and see wat i see i hope i can fix it..i still love this car... burnt an a6 hehehehe yeaaaa.

Before tearing down your brakes...
To check for rubbing, draw several lines on the facing (friction) side of the discs on both wheels with a sharpie or something and put the wheels back on.
Before lowering the car, put the e-brake on (if not already on) and put the tranny in neutral. Spin the tires by hand to see if the lines get rubbed off.
If not, put the car down and let it roll slowly around a parking lot without using the brakes. Check your lines for wearing off. If they are, it could be causing what you suspect but how much it's rubbing is what to figure out next.
(I believe some constant contact is normal?) You also might check your rear wheel bearings. I'm hearing (on this forum) that they're an issue for some.

i have an older i30,,97...but i changed ceramic pads, new rotors, and some emergency brake recall.........that was 5 months ago....yesterday, i got the same feeling as you,, dragging, then i noticed scraping when going slow and stopping...my caliper was completely shot, wore the ceramic pad down and started eating the rotor....when comparing the old ones to the new, i was amazed at how much these things had failed (worn).. spring was damn near unmovable, little rubber boots were warped, and rusted as hell....anyway..everything is butter now...check your rotors for wear.
