shocks - I have an infiniti 2001 I30T - how do I know when it's time to replace my shocks? Also, when my wheels are turned and I go down a hill or over a small bump, there is a creaking noise in the front left… almost like the shock is compressing and decompressing... is that a normal noise to have? do i need to get my shocks replaced? what are good brands, i've only heard of monroes and that's b/c Sears advertises those... how much should i expect to pay for the parts and for labor? i live in Long Island, NY - anyone know of a reputable garage?

 

oh, and I have 44,000 miles - I bought the car from the dealership when it had 34,000… don't know how the previous owner drove it - but I do a lot of highway driving, with the weekends driving in the city over lots of rough roads and bumps.
