Need Lower Suspension Advice

I took my wheels off for the winter and now I am bored. I think I want to lower my suspension, but not crazy. I have the time to get it done since it is the winter. Right now I have the stock I30 wheels on. Take a look at the pictures with the 18's on it. I was thinking only 1" in the front and 1/2" in the back. Any advice on what springs and Struts to go with? I am not into racing, but I am aggressive driver at times. I don't really want sacrifice the luxury ride. Let me know.

For those of you that saw these pic's before, and gave me props. Thanks.

Sounds like Tein H-techs are what you want.

I think you should spend the money on springs and do it the right way.

DAMM you with ur logical way of thinking.. but really i mean i want just a small drop.. and i like the comfort zone my car is in... i dont want stiff springs that make the ride less bareable....

How do you plan on getting all the springs the same height when heating them? The integrity of the spring will be compromised by doing this.

If you like how your car is then leave it alone. Going with the softest spring possible like H-techs or H&R is your best bet. Paired with Tokico Illumina struts the ride will as close to stock as a aftermarket suspension could be.

Do you really want to cut corners on something that keeps your car on the road. Homebrew projects are good for things like tail lights and grills, but IMO not for suspension.

aftermarket springs/shocks are pretty expensive, but the alternative is to be a rice boy and either cut your springs or heat them
